Jennifer Bendre, a senior politics reporter for HuffPo, wrote a piece in which she declared that Robinson, in 2020 comments that were easily “read” less than 24 hours after her victory announcement, briefly stated that she He preferred to stay in it. The day “where women couldn’t vote.”

This is what the HuffPo report says:
During the event, Robinson, who was then running for lieutenant governor, recalled someone recently asking conservative activist Candace Owens what version of America would make America “great again,” where “black people swinging from trees cheaply” or where women were not allowed to vote.
Robinson said he would definitely go back to the days in America when women were denied the right to vote “because in those days we had people who were fighting for real social change, and they were called Republicans.”
RedState provides the full quote:
While the last quote is part of the story, it doesn’t give it all away. Immediately in the sentence she said “And they were called Republicans,” Robinson said “And they are the reason why women can vote today.”

The men on the right are coming to Robinson’s defense.
In the video clip, Robinson says he is a Republican *because of the 19th Amendment.
